It’s not hard to live a spiritual life. But a lot of people make it complicated.
Begin with Love. Love is always spiritual. It is the very essence of Spirit.
Then add Kindness.
As well as Goodwill, Generosity, and Compassion to enrich your spiritual path.
These sound simple enough. Yes, it’s simple. But it’s not easy.
We are entrenched in painful patterns of habit.
In our thinking, our feeling, our believing.
While it often seems to take a lot of perseverance and effort to create new patterns of habit, they can also turn around in an instant.
So expect to work, but allow for instant transformations.
The most difficult thing of living a spiritual life, in my observations and experience, is applying your new patterns of habit to yourself.
For the majority of folk, it’s easier to be loving, kind, generous, compassionate to others than it is to ourselves. This may be the ultimate spiritual benchmark.
